1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Sunlight glimmering off wavetops. My baby niece’s dimples when she sings her favorite song. “Forcing" my adolescent children to hug me while they try to wiggle away (which secretly makes them smile too). The fragrance of a Stargazer Lily. When my son Benjamin—who has a diagnosis of Autism—says goodnight to me and “gives me his eyes” (makes eye contact with me). I thank him...and every part of my heart sings.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
Time alone, almost always includes a trip to our favorite sushi restaurant Kyoto to enjoy delicacies such as teppanyaki, hibachi and tempura. Afterward, we stop by my in-laws or a nearby friend’s house for a visit. It the sun is out and ready to set we’ve been known to jump on the “Fat Boy” motorcycle and take a long ride along country roads outside of town, stopping briefly to take pictures of the setting sun.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
I grab my kindle, a small hunk of dark sea salt chocolate, my red velvety throw blanket, and head to my porch swing. I settle in, tuck my fluffy blanket snug around me, open my e-reader, and BREATH. I glance up for the occasional biker on the path nearby. My eye catches cloud formations overhead. I thank God for his creative beauty and care, dive back into my kindle and get lost a while longer.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
If I could live in stretch or yoga pants and cotton athletic tops I would! I love comfortable yet elegant. Calypso pants with a crew neck yolk top is classy elegant and over the top comfortable. Stately and yet approachable. My favorite attribute is presence. The most attractive component of personal style, captivating and commanding a room (regardless of the clothes you’re wearing), is vibrant confidence, approachability and being alive in the present moment.
